Surah Kahf is about the examples of individuals who followed divine guidance, and how such adherence spared them from the tribulations suffered by disbelievers.
Allah initiates the surah by recounting the narrative of the People of the Cave, portraying them as youth who recognized the necessity of distancing themselves from disbelievers and their surroundings to adhere to divine guidance.
Consequently, Allah bestowed upon them a miraculous life, serving as a sign for subsequent generations of believers. Through this, He offers unequivocal evidence of His role as the Creator and establishes the reality of the Resurrection.
As said by the beloved prophet (PBUH) “Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.”
Don’t forget to read Surah Al Kahf on every Friday!
A hadith emphasizes the importance of memorizing (ḥifẓ) Surah Kahf first 10 Ayat/ Verse.
(Sahih Muslim, Book 6, Hadith 311)
“If anyone learns by heart the first 10 verses of the. Surah Al Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal.”
Imam Muslim included this hadith in his compilation of authenticated narrations, where Abu al-Dardā’, may Allah be pleased with him, reported from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, stating that the one who memorizes first 10 verses of Surah al-Kahf is safeguarded from the trials associated with al-Dajjāl.
Reciting the Surah Kahf last 10 verses meaning that it shields the reader from the allurements of the Antichrist.
Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
“Whoever recites the last ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf he will be safe from the temptation of Dajjal”.
Reciting the final 10 verses is crucial for strengthening our bond with Allah and the Quran, emphasizing the significance of aligning our lives with Allah’s guidance. It prompts us to dedicate our time to Allah’s cause.
Considering that the arrival of Dajjaal, associated with the approaching doomsday, lacks a clear warning or defined signs, only Allah possesses this knowledge. Hence, the Prophet SAW consistently urged us to take preventive measures for our protection.
